I find it fascinating, the way you use such dark colours, leaving very few "light"-spaces. I think that's what creates this striking realism, since the viewer actually has to lean in, squint and get used to the dark in order to actually see what's on the picture, much like trying to look at a scene like this in reality. You're also very good at giving the dark areas a great deal of tonal depth, which makes the image so vivid. Wonderful work, I enjoyed looking through the rest of your gallery as well!
I love your work! The atmospheres are always so palpable. I know I have said this before, but you always seem to have a story in your art that keeps the viewer wondering about the depiction of the scene itself rather than just the craftsmanship.
