Yet another one! Don't know how long I've been working on this one, over a week at least. Played around with different filters and stuff. I'm a sucker for details, though I had to call this one done at some piont.

Skyrim, Scotland and Halo Reach where some of the inspirations I had for this painting. Not really a story for it though if you have one let me know.

Now the story is over.... and the dragons are gone....

its fantastic! the story i pull is of a dragon slayer who had in the past been very famous. many years later ( after he married and had children [some of whom are still wee] on a farm in his wife's village) a noble comes looking for him and wants him to take up the dragonslaying mantle again in defense of his kingdom. he refuses on the grounds that he is older and has a family. the noble says this is not a choice and threatens his family and village. the dragonslayer agrees to keep safe his loved ones. the noble takes away his family and the dragonslayer must prepare. its been long years since fighting, and his armour doesn't fit. faced with little choice he goes on without it. after many days of travel he comes to the nest. the dragons there know his scent and remember him. they have eggs of their own now and it has been long since they have feared him. the dragonslayer realizes he can't kill them; he is too old and out of shape to survive,but also cant find it in his heart to kill parents and children when that is what he is representing. he climbs down the mountain in sadness and overwhelming defeat. the dragons see the change and watch his descent. the dragons know the reasons in his heart and feel the need to change as well. the larger of the two dragons begins to make his way to the dejected warrior, a plan forming in his mind. THATS MY STORY! LOL!

i didnt get that far but i feel like it'll be good and bad. more good for the good people and more bad for the bad people. so i guess it'll end mostly happy. lemme give it some thought

Love this picture ,A small critique would be if the dragon wasn't there and the viewer have to think what the slayer was going into.apart from that it is stunning.
